working for and on behalf of russell and russell design studios in canmore, this four-dwelling project focuses around the idea of short-term stays that feel relaxed, generous, and connected to place. each residence is oriented to capture the mountain views, letting it shape the rhythm of everyday living. the architecture leans into warm timber elements and layered outdoor spaces, giving it a quiet resort-like atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. it was less about density and more about creating individual retreats within a single building, places that feel grounded, welcoming, and easy to return to.
