Grotto House is a grounded, contemporary home shaped by its rural setting. The design uses a simple palette of timber, weathered steel and concrete, allowing the materials to age naturally and give the house a warm, earthy character. The approach is intentionally straightforward, with the structure and materials doing most of the work.

The house is arranged around a series of courtyards and outdoor spaces, bringing light and greenery into the centre of the home. Large areas of glazing connect the living spaces to the landscape, while timber ceilings and natural finishes add warmth throughout.
