lakeside house

Lakeside House takes cues from the simplicity of a traditional barn, reworked as a contemporary home that sits lightly within the landscape. The house is elevated above the site, with the lower level kept open and transparent to create a strong connection between the living spaces, garden and lake beyond.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are more private, wrapped in a series of timber shutters that add depth and rhythm to the facade. The shutters can be opened and closed to control light, privacy and outlook, giving the upper level a changing character throughout the day.
