bexley duplex

it’s a duplex, but the intention was for it to read as a single, cohesive building rather than two halves stitched together. exposed steel became the defining gesture, tying everything together and giving the facade a clear structure, while off-form concrete and timber soffits/cladding bring some warmth back in. discreet garage and side pedestrian entry emphasiese privacy.

the overall balance is deliberate, there’s a bit of toughness in the materials, but it never feels overworked or heavy. sleek, private and luxury were key themes throughout the design with element of boldness. it holds itself as one building first, two homes second, which makes it feel more resolved and less compromised.
